Joining The Church
One may join Trinity in any one of the following ways:
Profession of faith. This is for a person who has just become a Christian. Upon trusting Christ as your Savior, you respond to our church invitation time at the end of our worship service. The next step for a person making profession of faith is to be baptized. The pastor will arrange a time with you for your baptism.
Statement of faith. This is for one who presently has a church membership and has been baptized by immersion in a church of like faith and order as that of Trinity, but records of membership cannot be easily attained. This is also used, in some cases, for those who come from churches of other denominations, but whose teachings about salvation and baptism are not vastly different from those of Trinity.
Transfer of letter. This where a person comes to Trinity from another Baptist church, and we write to that church asking for a letter of recommendation on the individual.
An opportunity to join Trinity is extended at the end of all our Sunday preaching services. To respond, one needs to walk forward and express the desire to join to the pastor. Unless he believes more time is needed for counsel in the matter, he will announce your intention to the congregation.
