Determination

Calvin Coolidge said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the determination to press on that counts.”

When one sets his eyes on a good destination and is determined to get there, that is a very good thing.  Actually, success is not in acheiving a goal, but it is in the determined journey toward the destination.  In the business world of living on commissions, they say, “You can’t sit on yesterday’s commissions, and you can’t depend on what you are going to do tomorrow.  You must be determined to make today count.”

The Apostle Paul said, in Philippians 3:13-14, “…this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
