It seems so commonplace to hear of some much admired Christian worker falling into some kind of sinful behavior.  The only logicial conclusion is that the devil is on the job, and he is diligent in his effort to stop those who oppose him.

Evangelist Bailey Smith says that when a person falls to such temptation, he has already been tilted that direction.  Someone said that is the reason it is not called a back fall, but rather a back slide.  It doesn’t all happen in a day.  This is why we must exercise great discipline and humility before the Lord, constantly.  God always makes a way of escape, but we must have the spiritual sensitivity to take God’s way of escape.
